what am I doing wrong? I get irises leaves but no flowers or main stem

Overcrowding or lack of sunshine will keep your irises. They should be divided every 4-5 years so if yours have been in the garden that long, it's time to dig and divide them. Be sure they are in a spot that gets at least 4 hours of sunshine each day and withhold fertilizer this year - too much nitrogen can result in lots of leaves at the expense of flowers. Hope this information helps.
