Because Knock-Outs are such prolific, season-long bloomers, (and they grow like crazy) are there special pruning needs/instructions for them UNLIKE other roses? (timing/how far to cut back, etc.)??

Knockout roses don't really require maintenance pruning the way shrub roses do. You can remove any dead stems or over-zealous growth at any time of year. I use hedge shears to cut everything down to the same level, but you can selectively cut the branches if you prefer. Best wishes with your garden!
