If you are seeding bermuda, June is an excellent time. If you are seeding a cool season grass such as fescue, Sept - Oct are the best months to plant. Here's a publication from the University of Georgia that may be of some help to you: http://pubs.caes.uga.edu/caesp...
Best wishes with your new lawn!
