Ilex crenata 'Steeds' is a vigorous holly with an upright, pyramidal growth habit. Has excellent foliage color that is a lustrous, clear, dark green. Not a holly known for berry production, but makes an excellent specimen planting, as well as very useful for hedge type plantings. Grows well in full sun to partial shade, and accepts a wide variety of soil conditions. Definitely a worthy addition to any landscape! Steeds holly grows to a height of 8ft, with a 4-6ft. spread. It's hardy in zones 6-9, grows in full sun to partial shade and is adaptable to many soil types, as long as it is well draining. Hope this information is helpful.
