I am in Tempe, AZ. Our front yard has 2 mulberry trees that shade the bermuda grass enough to keep it from growing. As a result we have lots of weeds and dirt patches instead of a lawn. We are wondering what kind of grass you recommend that can grow with little sunlight.

Unfortunately, there are no turf grass varieties that thrive in the shade in the low desert. St. Augustine grass will take some shade, but not lots as you describe your conditions. Sometimes the best approach is to plant a low growing ground cover rather than turfgrass. Wish I had more encouraging news for you.
