I have a plant called sedge also known as prairie fire. My question is: if I cut the plant to 3 inches above the root ball/ground, will it grow back? It was cut back about 3 weeks ago. It was to big for the pot, I didn't disturb the root ball, only cut down the above ground foliage.

thanks, Lori

You've done the right thing. Your Prairie Fire sedge can be renewed by cutting back each spring. You should see new growth later this spring. Enhoy!
