|I don't think there's any quick and easy solution to rehabilitating a neglected yard! You can start in one small area and expand the area as you have the time and energy. Start by removing the obvious weeds and either planting grass or groundcover or flowers and covering over the bare soil with a thick layer of mulch to prevent new weeds from sprouting. If you take it slow and easy and are methodical in your work you should be able to turn your backyard into a beautiful place. Take a few minutes to sketch out your ideal yard and start renovating in one corner, working out in all directions until you have a masterpiece. Best wishes with your backyard!
