| Fruit trees need a second, different variety in order to produce a good crop. You'll need to have two of each type of fruit tree for each to produce fruit. Golden delicious will pollinate other apple varieties that bloom at the same time, but won't serve as a pollinizer for peach, cherry, or pear trees. For those, you'll need a second variety of peach, cherry or pear - one that blooms at the same time. Hope this clarifies things for you.
