|What is the secret to getting a good green bean crop. I planted seeds and they produced green beans that were very tough to eat.

|Green beans should be harvested when they are only 6" long and thin as a pencil. If you wait until you can see the beans through the pods, they will be tough. Aside from harvesting early (which encourages the plants to develop even more beans), weather can make the beans tough. Try growing the variety "Tenderbean". They are delicious and very tender.
