I purchased 2 cryptomeria trees, it says they grow to 12ft, can we plant them in cedar tubs which are about 2feet tall? thankyou

It will take about 10 years for your dwarf cryptomeria to reach full size. A 24" tall container is likely to be too small at maturity but you can plant them in your containers for now, expecting to bump them up to a 4' tall container in 5-6 years. For stability, especially with a dense grower like cryptomeria, you'll want the container to be at least one-third as deep as the plant is tall.
