The other side of my garden is against a wall and will receive afternoon/evening sun, what types of garden vegies/fruits or herbs should I plant here?

I'd plant herbs rather than veggies there - at least during the summer months. Hot afternoon and evening sunshine can be unbearable for vegetables so save spots in the garden to plant cool season veggies in October and February but plan to harvest the last of the veggies by the end of May before it gets too hot. You can plant rosemary in hot summer sunshine and other woody herbs (mint, terragon, etc.) Enjoy your garden.
