Those topsy turvy, upside down hanging planters are a novel way to grow plants but they do require some special treatment. Because they will be in the sunshine, the roots of your tomato plants can be exposed to much more heat than if the plants were planted in the ground or even in right-side-up containers. Because of this you'll need to water diligently, making sure you apply water slowly so it trickles down and wets all of the potting soil. You'll need to feed the plants frequently. Use a water soluable fertilizer diluted to half strength and feed every 2-3 weeks. Hope you have a great harvest!
