I am putting together a donation for a class auction. We are using a wheelbarrow and filling it with things related to gardening with children. i would like to have the children start some seeds indoors to add to the wheelbarrow when it is presented in two weeks. is there any chance that we could get something planted that would show growth by then?

Two weeks is not a whole lot of time for anything planted from seed to sprout and begin to grow, but you may be able to coax marigolds, radishes, green beans and lettuce seeds to sprout within a week. I'd plant them in little pots and set the pots on a sunny windowsill. When it's time to wheel your project out for public viewing, the pots should have at least a little greenery in them and you can set them in the wheelbarrow. For even more green, sow grass seeds in larger pots. The blades should be up to a half inch or an inch in a week. Best wishes with your project!
