With weather in mid- teens, my pink princess escallona is now brown and leafless. Should I trim it back (and how much) or should I let it be and see if it comes back. Thanks

As the weather warms you should see leaf buds swell on the branches, providing the branches were not completely killed back. If you see no leaf buds, you may see new shoots sprouting from the crown of the plant. If this is the case you prune everything down to the point where the new growth begins. Hope your shrubs spring back to life!
