Peas, beans, cucumbers and even tomatoes can all be grown in containers and tied upright to a trellis with good results. You can even grow kiwi and passion fruit in containers (although very large ones) and train the vines up the lattice work. Use potting soil in the containers and be sure to monitor them for water needs during the summer months - plants in containers can dry out quickly during the hot summer months. Enjoy your new garden!
