Sounds like a great idea! You can plant groundcovers, low growing shrubs and perennials. These erosion control plants will grow well in your region: Arctostaphylos, Erica, Juniperus, Mahonia repens, Rhus, Rosa rugosa, Symphoricarpus, Lathyrus latifolius, Parthenocissus, Cerastium, Coronilla, Hemerocallis, and Sedum. Enjoy!
