If left undisturbed for a few years, lilies will grow into clumps. You can dig and separate the clumps now. Just carefully pull them apart, keeping the roots attached to the bulb and if they have tops, try not to damage them as you twist and pull the bulbs apart. Sometimes they come apart easily, other times you really have to twist and pull. If you damage a bulb during the process you should probably toss it rather than replant it. Damaged bulbs can attract insect and disease problems. Best wishes with your lilies.
