|I live in Jerseyville, IL and I was wanting to know when I put grass seed down. We cut down some trees last fall and now I have bare spots that I need to seed. When would be the best time to start this? Thanks in advance.

|Wait until the middle of April for the air and soil to warm up a bit then rake or dig the soil a little bit and add some compost, then level the soil and sow your seeds. They should pop up in 7-14 days if kept moist. Best wishes with your lawn!
