Hi there, I live in Roseville, CA (outside Sacramento) and my house faces East. I am trying to create a colorful garden for the front of my house, but I only get a few short hours of morning sun, the afternoon is all shade. Which flowers should I be choosing (low growing and pet friendly but still with color).
Thanks for your time!

There are so many plants to choose from I barely know where to begin! Here are some to consider: Corsican Hellebore (Helleborus argutifolius), Cranesbill Geranium
(Geranium macrorrhizum, G. palmatum), Creeping Lily Turf (Liriope spicata), Crete (Dittany), Daylily (Hemerocallis), Dwarf Plumbago (Ceratostigma plumbaginoides),
Epimedium, Fairy Wand (Dierama), Foam Flower, Sugar-Scoop (Tiarella), Gladwin Iris
(Iris foetidissima), Hellebore (Helleborus foetidus), Inside-Out Flower
(Vancouveria planipetala), Coral Bells (Heuchera maxima), Japanese Anemone (Anemone x hybrida), Lenten Rose (Helleborus orientalis), Bleeding Heart (Dicentra), Lily-of-the-Nile (Agapanthus orientalis) Monkey Flower (Mimulus), Redwood Sorrel, Oregon Oxalis (Oxalis oregana), border begonia, impatiens, and lobelia. Enjoy!
