Plants under cedar trees - Knowledgebase Question

I have a large cedar tree that receives several hours of sun in the morning and all afternoon and evening sun...what type of plants can be planted beneath this type of tree in a raised bed???

Some great plants for your South Carolina garden include Crocus , Grape hyacinth,
Coral Bells, Candytuft, Spiderwort, Lilies of the Valley, Lady's Mantle, Lungwort
Mountain bluebells, Cranesbills, Summer phlox (the tall ones), Bee balm (spreads wildly) and purple sage. Astilbes grow nicely in your region, as well. Enjoy!
