Plant ID - Knowledgebase Question

bought 2 houseplants at Home Depot, they gave me one free, no tag, would like to ID the plant type so I can care for it. Bright shiney green leaves, looks like it is going to bloom.

Wow! There are hundreds and hundreds of houseplants with bright shiny green leaves! Most plants can be identified by their flowers so if yours does flower, take the flower into your local garden center, Master Gardener clinic, or cooperative extension office for positive identification. Or there are tons of books at your local library with photos of houseplants. You might be able to compare your new plant with the pictures and determine its identity.
