Thanks for your quick response. Can you tell me when does one use peatmoss?? Should it be used around newly planted shrubs or plants. Regards

Peatmoss is an organic mulch material or a soil amendment for alkaline soils. You can use it around your shrubs and perennials or you can work it into the soil to help loosen heavy soils. I like to dig it into the soil around my plants to help loosen the soil. The peat decomposes and as it does it supplies nutrients to the plant's roots. Hope this answers your question!
