Need to know what plants would be suitable for my area of Westerly, RI for my rock garden. I have a clean slate to work with as I just bought here and there is no landscaping at all except for rocks. Thanks

Perennials that work well in a simple rock garden include bellflower (Campanula), Cranesbill (Geranium), Moonbeam coreopsis (Coreopsis verticillata 'Moonbeam'), primroses (Primula), thrift (Armeria), thyme (Thymus), sedums of all kinds and Yarrow (Achillea). When scouring the garden centers for plants, choose those that love sunshine and dry soils and you'll choose winners. Enjoy your garden!
