Can Spring-flowering bulbs (crocus, daffodils) be dug & divided and replanted immediately after blooming?

Not immediately after flowering - the foliage is busy manufacturing and transporting carbohydrates back to the bulbs for next year's floral display. Son't disturb the process. Instead, wait until the foliage ripens and dies, then cut the foliage, dig and divide, then replant your bulbs.
