April 15 is the average last frost date for north Texas. Give the soil a week after that to warm up and you should be able to plant your garden by the third week of April. If, after you've planted, the temperatures threaten to dip overnight, you can cover over your new plants with floating row cover, or suspend an old sheet over the planting bed to keep your plants safe. Just be sure to remove it before the sun beats down on the covering and overheats your garden. Hope you have a great harvest!
