|The standard waiting time is 24 hours after fertilizing. Water the fertilizer granules in after applying, then overseed the next day. If you sow too much grass seed you'll just be wasting your money. They will all sprout, even if they are overcrowded but some of the germinating seeds won't have room to root and they will die out. Best wishes with your grass.
