I had beautiful calla lillies last year and I dug up the bulbs in the fall and stored them over the winter This year I have beautiful foliage but only a couple of the plants bloomed. What do I need to do?

Good healthy foliage is important because the foliage serves to help the bulb store enough energy to produce blooms, and when the bulbs are large enough they will bloom again. To help them reach blooming size, be sure to provide them with plenty of water and a very rich soil during the growing season. With any luck, you will find that they are much larger when you dig them this fall and so they will probably bloom again next year.
