Attracting bees - Knowledgebase Question

I have 2acres of unused field that I would like to set up a beehive or two on. I would appreciate any recommendations you have on growing native plants in this field that would attract the honeybees. What planting methods do you recommend for planting in a field? Thank you.

Since you have so much land you'll probably want to plant a cover crop such as clover or buckwheat. Both are inexpensive and flower so prolifically you'll have no problem keeping your bees at home (and collecting lots and lots of honey!) You simply broadcast the seeds over the land rather than plant individual plants.
