Why are the leaves on my trumpet vine turning yellow and falling off ? Thanks!

Over watering can cause yellowing leaves but trumpet vines are also prone to fungal diseases, especially if they are not pruned back hard each spring. If it were mine I would prune it way back, both to get rid of the sickly looking foliage but also to encourage healthy new growth. It's early enough in the spring for you to prune it back to almost ground level. Be careful with your watering, making sure the top inch of soil dries out between waterings.
