I would like to get ivy to grow up an old mannequin I've covered in string. I'm not sure what type would be best for my region in south Florida.

An English ivy, one with small leaves, would be perfect for your topiary. Asterisk, Brokamp, Needlepoint, Ritterkreuz, and Shamrock all have small, bird's foot shaped leaves. Ivalace and Jubilee have miniature leaves; Gold Heart has leaves that are small, widely spaced on pink to maroon stems, with bright yellow-blotched center of the leaf. Whichever you choose, enjoy your garden!
