Green Growth of Crepe Myrtle Trees - Knowledgebase Question

I have fuzzy green growth on the truncks of my crepe myrtle trees this spring. Is this normal or should I do something to it??

It sounds like lichen or moss and either one is not harmful to your trees. You can scrape it off but with your high humidity it will probably just grow back. Since it isn't harmful, I'd just leave it alone - it will add character to your trees.
