We had an incredible invasion of snails last year. The crystals spread around the garden weren't effective at all. They seemed to do nothing to get rid of them. Is there a spray available that is effective. If so, that would seem to be a good way of treating the problem. Help please. We don't want to experience the snails killling our plants the way they did last year. Thank you very much.

I use a product called Sluggo. It is iron based and harmless to people and pets. what is not consumed breaks down into simple iron which is good for the soil. Give this product a try. It works wonderfully well for me and I like it because the snails and slugs go away and die. The baits tend to dehydrate them and I have to pick up the dead ones! You can also try to remove their hiding places by keeping plant debris off the ground. Hope this helps!
