Does rhubarb grow well in the hot summers of southern CA? If so, do you plant it in full sun or in a more shady area?

Thanks.

You can grow rhubarb in your region but it should be planted in the fall and harvested in March or April. The plants will die down in the summer months but perk back up in the fall and you can harvest in the early spring. Plant where it will get morning sun and afternoon shade.
