Some plants like lots of bright light and others will get along fine with low light levels. Each plant should have that information on the label. If you're unsure, just provide moderate light - somewhere that you'd be comfortable reading a newspaper. That amount of light is fine for most plants. Watering is the second most important aspect of keeping houseplants healthy. Water thoroughly when you do water, so excess water drains out of the bottoms of the pots. Then wait until the top half inch of potting soil is dry before watering again. Hope this information helps!
