there are millions of tiny acorns that have fallen from the trees above onto my lawn. is there an easier way to clean them up than by raking them?

If they are small acorns you should be able to run your lawn mower over them and suck them up. Be sure to bag the clippings! Or you can use a leaf blower with a reversable motor to suck them up into a bag. Either way, you're sure to get most of them. Continued regular mowing (and bagging) should greatly reduce their numbers.
