i bought flowering mums last fall in pots.they are all dry. but i see some green branches near the base root. can i revive them back again? if so, how to do it?help me pls..

It's natural for the old stems to die out during the winter months and for the roots to develop new sprouts. You can either prune off the old, dead stems to make room for the new stems, or you can unpot your plants, divide them and pot them back up again. As long as each new sprout has some roots attached it will develop into a brand new plant. Just cut through the rootmass to make your divisions. Enjoy your mums.
