|My next door neighbor planted a 5Ft Fraser Fir Tree sometime in June an now all of a sudden it is starting to turn brown. He used Miracid for evergreens for fertilizer. What can he do to save this tree ?

|There are a number of causes for a tree to suddenly brown, including drought stress and insect attack. Unfortunately, based on your description it is impossible to determine the exact cause of the problem in this case. You might wish to contact either an arborist or your County Extension agent (tel.328-4800) for some on-site advice.
