|I've mulched the shrubs around my house over the years. Should I remove the old mulch before I do this?

|Organic mulch will decompose over the years and there's no reason you cannot put a fresh layer over the top each year (or whenever it's required). Removing the old mulch really serves no purpose. Just leave it where it is. It will eventually decompose and while it's doing so it is releasing nutrients into the soil for your shrubs to use.
