When picking the berries, what parts to I remove? Just the berry, leaving the stem?

Although it's a little more labor intensive than just pulling a strawberry off the plant, if you can cut the stem just above the cap, the berry will stay fresher longer and you won't harm your plant when harvesting. Sometimes you can cut the stem with your thumbnail and sometimes you actually need to cut the stem with clippers. Harvest when all of the white has disappeared and the berry is completely red. Enjoy!
