Broccoli can endure cold temperatures so keep them outdoors in a protected place until you can plant them in the garden. Set them next to the foundation of your home or garage, under the eaves and check them daily for watering needs. Basil is very tender and should be kept indoors under bright light until you can plant them outside. A sunny kitchen window would be perfect but failing that, any place that you can set up gro-lights and keep them on for 12-14 hours a day will keep your basil happy. enjoy!
