When is the best time to plant a red bud tree in south Texas?

Early spring is best; fall is the second best time to plant landscape trees and shrubs. If you plant now, your redbud will have a couple of months to establish its root system before really hot weather arrives. Plant now and water deeply once each week and your new redbud should thrive. Enjoy your new tree!
