|Is tomato plant annual or perennial? Mine tomatoes plants did very well last year but they died in the winter. will they come back or i can just pull them out and plant the new ones. the plants are still dead as of today. I am in Virginia.

|Tomato plants are perennial in warm season climates such as Hawaii or southern California, but in Virginia they are annual plants and will die down during the winter months. You'll need to replace your tomato plants every spring. Pull yours out and plant new ones when the weather stays consistently warm.
