What type of Impatiens can I plant in full sun? The flower beds in front of my house get an average of 5 to 7 hours of sun each day.

In general, impatiens are considered shade loving plants. While some of the New Guinea Impatiens will tolerate more sun than the regular impatiens, they too prefer partial shade. If the direct hours of sun are in the morning with afternoon shade, you might be able to grow impatiens there but only if they are kept extremely well watered. You might wish to consider some heat and sun loving annuals such as vinca, petunias or geraniums instead.
