my houseplant has something wrong the leaves seem to be rotting getting liquidy and look like rotting vegitation what is this and how do i make it stop

It sounds like root rot from overwatering and I'm not sure you can save your plant. Try unpotting it and replanting it in fresh potting soil. When you have it out of the container cut off any mushy roots and leaves. If the plant is not totally involved you may be able to save it. Hope so!
