|Just purchased a Sweet Broom (Cytisus x spachiana) from my local store. Looking on the internet, it appears it will not be hardy in my area. Need your input before I plant. Thanks

|Your zip code places you in zone 7 and my research indicates Cytisus spachiana is hardy in zones 5-8. I know that Scotch broom (another cytisus) is considered invasive in parts of Virginia and it has the same growing requirements as your sweet broom, so I'm convinced your new plant will grow nicely for you. enjoy!
