When your lawn begins to green up you can feed it. Regular watering, mowing and feeding will help your lawn become lush and thick, which will help it crowd out any weeds that try to sprout. Use a 3-1-2 ratio of NPK (21-7-14 or similar), and apply in amounts as recommended on the package. Best wishes with your lawn.
