Will a cherry tree planted this year bear fruit this year?

Are the variety of cherry trees available at The Home Depot self pollinating, or must I purchase two for pollination to take place?

Sweet cherry trees will need a second variety of cherry tree in order to produce fruit. If your cherry tree is 3-4 years old, it will be mature enough to develop some cherries. If it is younger, it may not flower or produce this year. Hope this answers your question!
