3 flower beds I built up years ago& by June,I already have grasshoppers,used to be July.Start out very small,could they be

There are several approaches you can use to control grasshoppers. One is to set out a bait containing a disease that affects the grasshoppers called Nosema locustae sold as Semaspore or NoLo brands. Another is to use baits with carbaryl (Sevin). The baits are most effective early in the season while the grasshoppers are still small. Read and follow all of the label directions on any product you use. Good luck with yoru eradication project!
