i've always had dogs and tomato plants. how toxic are tomatos' to dogs.
death or stomach problems?

My understanding is that tomato plants are toxic to dogs if plant parts are ingested. The plant tissues contain toxins known to cause dilated pupils, tremors and irregular heartbeat. The leaves and stems of tomato plants are the most toxic followed by unripe (green) tomatoes and ripe (red) tomatoes. You might check with your Vet or with the ASPCA Poisonous Plants website for more information.
