Plants with thicker leaves are more tolerant of windy conditions. Here are a few shade loving suggestions:
Acanthus, Ajuga, Ginger, Bergenia, Campanula, Dicentra, Helleborus, Heuchera, Hosta, Pulmonaria, and Tiarella. I'm sure you'll find many more if you scout your local garden center. Enjoy your garden!
